Welcome...

I'm glad you found my page--thanks for stopping by. This is my initial posting and I am pleased that you're here for me to share it with you. What I'm hoping to do with this blog is to share my art as well as what motivates and inspires me creatively. I approach my art from more of a spiritual perspective than I previously did. Perhaps I'll have a chance to expound a little bit more on this in a future post. When I say "spiritual" I'm not referring to a "new age" point of view, but rather a Christian mindset. Many people tend to confuse the two; in reality they're not the same.

Much of my vision is forged from a "born-again" perspective and it is reflected in my paintings and drawings, much of which I plan to share in this forum. There will be many sports paintings as well; I happen to watch a lot of sports, unfortunately mostly on television. I don't nearly watch as much live sports in person anymore (somehow my schedule just won't allow it)!

Anyway, here's hoping this is the first of many visits by you--I endeavor to keep the content as current as possible and hope to be sharing some works in progress along the way. Be sure to look around the page; I've posted some links to some pages at Fine Art America; you can view my portfolio online at

Before I go, I'll leave you with this:

It's a work in progress, oil on masonite, approximately 18"x24"(the quality of the pic isn't the greatest--my apologies)...haven't decided on a title as of yet, but "Artcraft Silversmiths" seems to stick out for some odd reason...what do you think? There's a few more hours left on this one before I can call it finished.

Once again, thanks for stopping by...be sure to visit again soon!

  3. Your settings Are very inviting. For instance, Silversmith reminds me of a New Britain neighborhood from the 60's. I want to walk through the doors of the shop...
Ps I like your jazz portraits, too.

  4. Thanks...The "Silversmiths" piece is actually an old building adjacent to the train station in Mt. Vernon, NY. I would see it every day on my way to NYC during my art school days. Many memories are associated with that building. I'm glad you like it. I do have some other jazz portraits that I've done over the years...I'll probably post some here also.
